Tim Cook Steps Down as Apple CEO: John Ternus Named Successor

August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Tim Cook’s era at the helm of the company will come to an end on September 1. Fifteen years after his appointment, he will hand over control to John Ternus, Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering.

Cook’s tenure proved to be a triumph for investors: shares rose more than 20-fold, and the company's market capitalization surpassed $4.5 trillion, making Apple the first corporation in history to cross the trillion-dollar mark.
