August 22, Fineko/abc.az. Diesel fuel prices in California have reached $7 per gallon. According to AAA data, drivers are paying 30 cents more per gallon than last month and 37% ($1.89 per gallon) more compared to the same period last year.

Nationwide, average US diesel prices rose to $5,45 per gallon in August, up from $3.52 at the start of the year.

For the first time in history, the refining spread between diesel and crude oil in the US reached triple digits, hitting a record $102 per barrel early in the week before settling near $100 per barrel.
