Volume of transactions at securities market exceeds 25 bn manats

July 29, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2026, the volume of transactions in the securities market of Azerbaijan reached 25.19 bn manats (32.1% less against Jan-Jun 2025), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Of the total volume of transactions, 2.516 bn manats (a drop of 18.1%) accounted for the primary market and 22.502 bn manats (a drop of 33.4%) for the secondary market.

Over Jan-Jun 2026, 36,177 transactions were concluded in the securities market (2.3-fold more compared with Jan-Jun 2025). At the same time, 23,486 transactions were made in the primary market (a rise of 15.7-fold) and 12,691 transactions in the secondary market (a drop of 12%).

For Jan-June 2026, transactions with government securities totaled 1.517 bn manats, or 6.1% of the overall market volume, transactions with corporate securities - 1.935 bn manats, or 7.7%, and repo-transactions - 21.566 bn manats, or 86.2%. Compared with Jan-Jun 2025, the volume of transactions with government securities decreased 2.7-fold, while the volume of transactions with corporate securities grew by 23.7%, and the volume of repo-transactions declined by 30.9%.

Of the total number of transactions concluded on the market in the first 6 months of the year, 334 transactions (or 0.9%) related to government securities, 32,815 transactions (or 90.7%) to corporate securities, and 3,028 transactions (or 8.4%) to report-transactions.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2025, the number of transactions with government securities fell by 44.4%, with corporate securities grew 2.7-fold, and the number of repo-transactions by 0.3%.
