July 22, Fineko/abc.az. S&P Global Market Intelligence predicts that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will hold its one-week repo policy rate steady at 37% during its meeting on July 23. Andrew Birch, Associate Director of European Economics at S&P, noted that ongoing Middle East tensions and volatile energy prices prevent an immediate resumption of the rate-cutting cycle despite July's disinflation trends.
According to the agency, the central bank may begin laying the groundwork for a potential rate cut in the fourth quarter if inflation continues to cool in the coming months.
