Goldman Sachs Raises European Natural Gas Price Forecasts

21:42 - 22.07.2026

July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Goldman Sachs has revised up its short-term European natural gas price forecasts, citing delayed recovery of LNG exports through the Strait of Hormuz due to ongoing Middle East tensions.

The bank lifted its Q3 2026 Dutch TTF gas price estimate from €41 to €60 per megawatt-hour (MWh) and its Q4 forecast from €40 to €53/MWh.

Consequently, storage occupancy in Northwest Europe is projected to reach only 67% by the start of the winter season in October, down from the previous 74% estimate. Meanwhile, August TTF futures rose 3.6% today to trade at €61.83/MWh.
