Gold surges above $4,000 per ounce amid diplomacy between U.S. and Iran

July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Global gold prices have grown: the spot price of the precious metal increased by 0.9% up to $4,042.69 per troy ounce, while August futures in the U.S. rose by 0.8% up to $4,047.40.

Investors are assessing the impact of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions between the U.S. and Iran on oil inflation and the future interest rate of the U.S. Federal Reserve.

According to analysts, gold is forming a stable base around $4,000.

At the same time, the spot price of silver grew by 2.2% up to $57.67 per ounce, platinum up to $1,607.20, and palladium up to $1,263.73.
