July 20, Fineko/abc.az. The Batumi Oil Terminal in Georgia resumed transportation of aviation kerosene after an eight-year break.

According to Terminal’s official statement, the Batumi Oil Terminal, owned by KazTransOil OJSC, has become one of the key logistics hubs for the delivery of aviation fuel JET A1 from Europe to Kazakhstan via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

The first batch of jet fuel JET A1, amounting to 10,000 tons, has already been delivered to the terminal via the Black Sea. Currently, the cargo is awaiting transshipment into railway tanks for further shipment to Kazakhstan.

Terminal's management has noted that resumption of aviation kerosene transportation expands company's logistics capabilities, contributes to development of cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor and strengthens the stability of international supply chains.

In addition, the Batumi Oil Terminal transports crude oil, fuel oil, diesel fuel, gasoline, various types of kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, and other liquid petroleum products.

In the 1st half of this year, the Batumi Oil Terminal transported approx. 725,000 tons of liquid petroleum products.
