July 15, Fineko/abc.az. As of today, an updated 100-manat banknote is being introduced into circulation, the CBA informs. The new banknote has modern security features, including a hologram with 3D micro-mirror effect that changes color, innovative element Spark Flow Prime that changes color and has dynamic light effect, as well as a watermark in the form of the State Emblem of Azerbaijan and denomination numbers, which become visible when the banknote is viewed in the light.

In addition, the banknote features special tactile elements for people with visual impairments. The right and left edges of the front side feature raised lines that allow users to determine the authenticity and denomination of the banknote by touch.

Other features of the updated banknote include a vertical design on the reverse side, which is in line with current global trends in banknote production, as well as a security thread, colorless printing, microtexts, and other security features.

CBA governor Taleh Kyzymov’s signature  is located in the upper left corner on the front side of the banknote.

The updated 100-manat banknote will be circulated alongside the current 100-manat banknote, which will retain its status as a legal tender without any restrictions.
