June 30, Fineko/abc.az. The main reason for execution of profit tax in the non-oil sector with deficit is compensation by taxpayers of the amount accrued for profit tax, with overpayment of VAT.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said this at today's MIlli Majlis plenary session, when discussing the

Bill on Execution of State Budget 2025.

He noted that for the reporting year, the projected amount for the profit tax from the non-oil sector was 4.123 bn manats (219 million manats or 5.3% more than the actual revenue): "At the same time, VAT revenues from the non-oil sector for the same period amounted to 4.202 bn manats, exceeding the approved forecast by 639 million manats, or 18%. As a result, when the VAT and income tax figures are combined, the overall actual performance is 5.5% higher than the forecast."
