Georgia bought fuel and lubricating oils from abroad for $1.13 bn in 5 months

June 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan–May 2026, Georgia imported fuel and lubricating oils from Azerbaijan for $181.8 million (28% more versus Jan-May 2025), ABC.AZ informs, referring to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

Thus, Azerbaijan took the 2nd place among the countries supplying fuel and lubricating oils to Georgia.

In May alone, Georgia purchased fuel and lubricants from Azerbaijan for $28.3 million (53% more than a year earlier).

In the first 5 months of 2026, Georgia imported fuel and lubricating oils from foreign countries for $1.13 bn (45% more than a year ago).

Georgia imported goods for $562 million from Russia, for $100 million from Turkey, for $61.5 million from Romania, and for $44 million from Bulgaria.
