June 22, Fineko/abc.az. The goals of the State Program once again show that it is aimed at a development model based on high productivity, efficiency and added value.
ABC.AZ informs that Khalid Akhadov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan for Socio-economic Affairs, made the relevant statement at a regional meeting on the Shirvan-Salyan economic region within the State Program.
He added that the rational use of water and land resources is among the main priorities of the program.
Akhadov noted that introduction of modern irrigation systems, improvement of on-farm irrigation networks, cleaning of existing canals, and education of farmers are of particular importance. Increasing agricultural productivity, improving water and energy supplies, introducing modern technologies, and timely taking of agricultural measures are possible only with the coordinated work of all relevant structures.
According to Akhadov, all possibilities will be mobilized for implementation of the State Program: "To take the measures stipulated by the State Program, it is planned to attract more than 2 billion manats of public funds and more than 3 billion manats of private investments. Given that the program will be implemented for four and a half years, in accordance with the president’s instructions on the immediate start of its implementation, realization of tasks should begin without delay. The full fulfillment of the tasks set by President Ilham Aliyev is possible only with the coordinated work of all central and local executive authorities, as well as with the mobilization of the investment and management potential of the private sector."
