October 6, Fineko/abc.az. British Minister of State Anas Sarwar said at the 8th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission that British companies, in particular BP, have been actively involved in the economic development of Azerbaijan for more than 30 years.

The minister stressed that British investments and experience have made an important contribution to development of Azerbaijan's energy resources, access to international markets and strengthening Europe's role in energy security.

Noting that his country remains Azerbaijan's largest foreign investor, Sarwar noted that the main goal is to further expand mutual investments and bilateral economic ties in both directions.
