Cost of oil goes down: Brent - around $78 a barrel

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades continued falling in Wednesday’s trading after a drop the day before.

As of 09:30, on the ICE Futures exchange, the price of August’s futures for Brent crude oil decreased by $0.85 (1.08%) compared with the closing level of previous trades to $78.11 per barrel. Following the trading on June 16, the contract fell by $4.21 (5.06%) to $78.96 per barrel.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), July’s WTI crude futures declined by $0.90 (1.18%) to $75.15 per barrel by 09:30. Following the trading on June 16, the contract value decreased by $4.70 (5.82%) to $76.05 per barrel.

The price of Azerbaijani oil Azeri Light dropped by $3.94 (4.55%) to $82.61 per barrel.
