June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Five strategic directions for the development of the halal agricultural sector have been outlined in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov made the relevant statement at the event "Halal Economy for Sustainable Regional Integration" within the 51st annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku.

"The first direction is to create a unified system of halal certification and digital traceability. We invite you to become partners in the formation of this system," Mammadov said.

According to the minister, the second direction is creation of integrated green halal agricultural parks with renewable energy, combining production, processing, certification and cold logistics. The third is development of special financial instruments for the halal sector through mixed financing. The fourth is to strengthen the integration of halal exports with the Middle Corridor. Fifth, investments in human capital and innovation, training in food science, quality control and certification.

"Our doors are open. Let's make Azerbaijan a leading regional center of halal production together," the minister added.
