June 4, Fineko/abc.az. A cyber investigation unit in the structure of the State Security Service has started operating in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Davud Rustamov, the Head of the National Cybersecurity Center of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, said this during a panel discussion at the IV National Cybersecurity Forum, held in Baku.

According to Rustamov, the new direction will combine both the procedural component of cyber investigations, including investigative actions, inspections and operational search measures, as well as conducting specialized cyber investigations and technical examinations.

"Within this area, the cyber investigation and cyber examination divisions will work closely together. It is expected that this will make significant progress in countering cyber threats, especially complex targeted attacks such as APT (Advanced Persistent Threat)," Rustamov said.
