May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Housing financing must be affordable and sustainable. Over the past 20 years, Azerbaijan has ensured the sustainability of the housing finance system, 58,000 mortgage agreements have been concluded. The Mortgage Fund has become the institutional pillar of the national housing finance system.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Anar Kerimov, First Deputy Finance Minister and member of the Supervisory Board of the Azerbaijan Mortgage & Credit Guarantee Fund, as saying this at the event on the theme "New Agreement for Housing Finance", organized within the 13th session of the World Urban Planning Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

He noted that standard mortgage loans are available to citizens in Azerbaijan.

"At the same time, there are preferential social mortgage lending programs for vulnerable groups of the population," the deputy minister said.
