May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The drop in local tourism compared to last year has generally reduced the number of overnight stays.

ABC.AZ reports that for Jan-Mar of 2026, there were more than 838,000 overnight stays in hotels, which is less than in the previous year (868,000 overnight stays).

During this time, the number of overnight stays among local tourists decreased from 383,000 to 345,000, and among foreign citizens - from 485,000 to 494,000.

But the main number of overnight stays covers the period up to March.
