April 17, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 1, 2026, 738 million barrels of oil were transported through the Baku–Supsa oil pipeline.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to SOCAR, this oil pipeline was put into operation on April 17, 1999.

"This pipeline occupies an important place in Azerbaijan's modern energy strategy, ensuring the access of Azerbaijani oil to world markets through the Black Sea. It became one of the first international export projects implemented after the Contract of the Century, and for the first time made it possible to export Azerbaijani oil to the west. The Baku–Supsa oil pipeline has also contributed to development of energy cooperation in the region, creating a solid foundation for subsequent major transport projects," the company noted.
