April 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has become the main supplier of oil to the Czech Republic by the end of 2025, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Czech edition Ceské noviny.
The share of Azerbaijani oil in Czech Republic's overall imports exceeded 42%.
In 2025, the Czech Republic imported 2.9 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan (10% more than a year earlier). At the same time, Azerbaijan has increased its share in oil supplies to the Czech Republic in recent years.
According to the publication, in 2025, the Czech Republic imported more than 6.85 million tons of oil (5.5% more than in 2024).
The share of Russian oil dropped to 7.7% in 2025. Last year, the Czech Republic increased oil imports from Norway, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. According to the newspaper, increase in purchases from these countries is linked with growth of capacity of the Transalpine Oil Pipeline (TAL) and problems with supplies to the Druzhba oil pipeline.
