April 15, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from July 15, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan will issue an updated banknote with face value of 100 manats.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the CBA, that the update relates to international practice: central banks regularly improve the design and protection of banknotes to combat counterfeiting and introduce new technologies.

The updated banknote with face value of 100 manats uses the following modern protective elements: a hologram with the effect of a three-dimensional micro-mirror that changes color; the ‘Spark Flow Prime’ element (the symbol of the manat with dynamic light effect and color change); a watermark (when examining the banknote, the State Emblem of Azerbaijan and the face value are visible); for recognition by people with visual impairment (special relief lines are placed on the front side of the banknote along the right and left edges, allowing to determine the authenticity and face value by touch); vertical design (the reverse side of the banknote is made in a vertical format in accordance with modern global trends in the production of banknotes); protective thread, inkless printing, microtexts and other elements.
