April 14, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the level of dollarization of banking sector's loan portfolio decreased by 1.9 percentage points to 14.2%, reaching a historic low. The dollarization of the deposit portfolio also dropped by 1.9 p.p. compared to the end of 2024 and made up 35.6%.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the process of de-dollarization of deposits of individuals continues.

Thus, in 2025, compared with the end of 2024, the dollarization of term deposits of the population fell by 3.5 p.p. to 31.4%, and the dollarization of demand deposits by 1.4 p.p. to 31.6%.

At the same time, the dollarization of term deposits of legal entities grew by 4.7 p.p. and made up 57.2%.

The share of foreign currency deposits of legal entities on demand in the overall deposit portfolio declined by 2.6 p.p. and made up 32.7%.
