April 1, Fineko/abc.az. Saudi Aramco and Sonatrach (Algeria) increased their selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas by 38-80% in April due to limited supply at the global market.
ABC.AZ informs that the energy crisis caused by the war in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz led to supply disruptions: the region previously provided nearly 30% of global marine LPG exports.
Saudi Aramco's prices rose to $750 per ton of propane and $800 per butane, while Sonatrach's prices grew up to $850 and $900, respectively. These indicators serve as key benchmarks for the markets of Asia, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea region.
