Saudi Aramco restores operation of largest refinery in Ras Tanura after drone attack

March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Saudi Aramco has reopened the Ras Tanura refinery, which was shut down as a precautionary measure after a drone strike on March 2, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Reuters’ sources and data from the industry monitoring resource IIR.

As a result of the fall of the wreckage of two downed drones, a fire broke out at the enterprise. The refinery’s operation was restored on March 13.

The Ras Tanura refinery with capacity of 550,000 b/d is the largest in Saudi Arabia and a key supplier of diesel fuel to European countries.
