February 24, Fineko/abc.az. The overall amount of finances saved by residents to date has exceeded 547 million manats.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Economic Zones Development Agency’s (IZIA) chairman Seymur Adygozalov, that 2025 has become a significant year for industrial zones and from angle of international cooperation: "For example, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IZIA and China Datang Overseas Investment on the creation of a Green Energy Park on the Absheron Peninsula. In addition, a lease agreement was signed with Saudi company ACWA Power on a land plot in the Sumgayit Industrial Park for a seawater desalination project.

At the same time, significant results have been achieved in the agro-industrial sector. Last year, with participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, a pilot agropark was opened in Yevlakh. This agricultural park with total area of 2,807 hectares became the first agricultural park in the country, created with involvement of small and medium-sized farmers.

35 business entities are registered as residents in the agropark. Residents invested 59.4 million manats, 185 permanent and 593 seasonal jobs were created. It provides for the creation of intensive fruit orchards, livestock and poultry farms, as well as processing enterprises," he said.
