68.2% of individual deposits placed in national currency

November 27, Fineko/abc.az. The structure of banks' liabilities is traditionally dominated by the deposit portfolio - 73.3% or 36.06 billion manats of the overall liabilities.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that 57% of the deposit portfolio (20.513 billion manats) are deposits from legal entities, 43% (15,549 million manats) are deposits from individuals (except for deposits from individuals engaged in individual entrepreneurship).

68.2% of individual deposits (10.6 billion manats) are placed in national currency and 31.8% (4.938 billion manats) in foreign currency. 63.6% of the savings portfolio of individuals (9.883 billion manats) are term deposits. Term deposits of individuals increased by 1.7% or 163.4 million manats in October and demand deposits by 0.2% or 8.6 million manats.
