November 27, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 31, 2025, 22 banks are numbering 500 branches, 87 subranches and 3,430 ATMs.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to a report published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Thus, for Jan-Oct 2025, the number of people employed in the banking sector grew by 0.2% or 49 people up to 26,921 people.

The overall assets of the operating banks totaled 56.34 billion manats, overall liabilities - 49.182 million manats, balance sheet capital - 7.159 billion manats.

The loan portfolio of banks increased by 0.4% or by 127.6 million manats in the reporting month and reached 29.403 billion manats. The structure of the loan portfolio: I) Business loans – 53.1% (15.623 billion manats); II) consumer loans – 31.4% (9.232 billion manats) and III) mortgage loans - 15.5% (4.548 billion manats).
