November 17, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 10 months of 2025, Azerbaijan's crude oil exports increased slightly against Jan-Oct 2024, but due to lower prices, and the total value decreased.
This year, 20.75 million tons of oil were exported (nearly 180,000 tons or 0.9% more versus Jan-Oct 2024), ABC.AZ reporrs with reference to the State Customs Committee.
But the statistical value dropped from $12.76 billion to $10.85 billion, meaning revenue dropped more than by 15%.
The decline of revenue amid the rise in volumes is linked with a serious drop in the average selling price of crude oil. In 2024, the average export price per ton was approx. $620, and in 2025 this figure decreased to $523. Thus, the average price of a ton fell by 16%, which is the main cause of decline in overall earnings.
