November 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Draft State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2026 fully provides for measures to strengthen the country's defense capability and ensure its security.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Finance Minister Sahil Babayev as saying this  at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, where State Budget 2026 was discussed.

The minister stressed that the draft takes into account all the priorities identified by the head of state, including the tasks of ensuring the social well-being of citizens, restoring the liberated territories and further developing the economy.

"The draft budget provides for the financing of all social programs in full," Babayev said.

He added that the focus remains on Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, where implementation of the Great Return Program and other government projects continues.

"The budget envisages finances for the restoration of the liberated territories, the safe return of citizens and the creation of conditions for their decent life," he stressed.

In addition, the minister noted that the document reflects measures to develop the economy, attract investment and improve infrastructure.
