Azerbaijan's total national debt will amount to 23.1% of GDP in 2025 – World Bank forecast

October 28, Fineko/abc.az. According to World Bank’s forecasts, in 2025, Azerbaijan's total public debt will make up 23.1% of GDP.

ABC.AZ informs that the WB report says that this indicator is expected to rise to 24.7% next year, and in 2027 it will slightly decrease to 24.6% of GDP.

According to the WB, government spending is projected at 33% of GDP this year, with subsequent reduction to 32.4% of GDP next year and 32.3% of GDP in 2027.

At the same time, according to WB’s expectations, government revenues will make up 36.5% of GDP in 2025, 34.2% of GDP in 2026 and 39.9% of GDP in 2027.

According to WB forecasts, the fiscal balance is expected to reach 3.6% of GDP in 2025, 1.9% of GDP in 2026 and 1.7% of GDP in 2027.
