October 21, Fineko/abc.az. The involvement of the private sector in satellite image processing in Azerbaijan will be more active and broadband, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Anar Narimanov, the head of the Digital Management Department of the Ministry of Economy, .

He said that the government should not write code, all intellectual products should be created through the private sector:

"A laboratory for processing satellite images will be set up in Azerbaijan. Not only Azercosmos is involved in this processing, but also the private sector."

According to Narimanov, satellite images are a very good resource for creating various types of intelligent products, developing an ecosystem of startups, and transferring knowledge: "If we refer to international sources, we can see that there are currently many startups based on satellite imagery. Giant technology companies are investing in them on the basis that intelligent products will be created."
