October 20, Fineko/abc.az. The Kazakh authorities have stopped growth of fuel prices in retail by freezing them.
The cost of gasoline and diesel fuel at gas stations in Kazakhstan has been frozen since October 16.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, that large retail chains should keep prices in the range of 213-239 tenge per liter of AI-92 and 317-337 tenge per liter of diesel fuel.
The authorities require gas stations to keep retail prices at the level of October 16 this year, while there is no provision for setting a single cost level at gas stations in Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Energy also informs that the fuel reserves will last for 3-4 weeks: 341,000 tons of AI-92 and 405,000 tons of diesel fuel are currently available in the country. Two refineries in Kazakhstan are operating normally, and the Atyrau refinery will begin to exit scheduled repairs on October 25.
Over Jan-Sept 2025, the country produced 4.455 million tons of gasoline and 4.685 million tons of diesel fuel.
