October 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has significant plans for virtual assets.

ABC.AZ reports that Fidan Tofidi, the director of the CBA Financial Technology & Innovations Department, made this statement at Fintex forum in Baku.

According to Tofidi, a bill "On the regulation of virtual assets" is being prepared.

"This is one of the CBA's priorities. In general, we plan to cooperate more closely with the market. Preparations for a new strategic cycle will begin next year. There are one or two areas that we consider to be priorities. Working with virtual assets is not limited to the preparation of a draft law. We have many plans for implementation of this project," Tofidi said.
