September 30, Fineko/abc.az. Decarbonization efforts are bringing commercial value to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

ABC.AZ informs that SOCAR Deputy Vice President Hikmat Abdullayev made the relevant statement on the second day of the Baku Climate Week (BCAW2025).

The SOCAR representative added that although the company lagged behind its competitors at the beginning of its decarbonization journey, the availability of all the necessary technologies in the market gave it an advantage: "Thus, even though we were a bit late, we moved quite effectively and quickly. Because the technologies already existed. As soon as we launched our measurement program, the data flow immediately became too large to process and manage. We created specialized software and a platform that helped us consolidate everything we had accumulated so far, centralizing infrastructure, operational data, and measurement results. Basically, we managed to build a system that effectively presents the results of large dataset analysis to us."
