September 26, Fineko/abc.az. The data has been unveiled on money transfers received to Azerbaijan from the Persian Gulf countries in the 1st half of 2025.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that finances received in Azerbaijan from these countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait, increased from $35.7 million up to $48.4 million (around 36% more than last year).

Revenue from the UAE grew from $15.1 million up to $18.5 million, while revenue from Saudi Arabia from $9.4 million up to $12.7 million. Transfers from Qatar increased from $5.2 million up to $8.4 million, while transfers from Kuwait remained stable at $1.6 million.

Money transfers sent from Azerbaijan to the Persian Gulf countries generally showed an increase. Transfers to the UAE grew from $7 million up to $11.2 million, and to Saudi Arabia from $9.4 million up to $12.7 million.

However, there is little growth in the direction of Qatar and Kuwait. For example, transfers to Qatar increased from $5.2 million up to $5.9 million, while transfers to Kuwait remained stable at approx. $1.6 million.
