September 22, Fineko/abc.az. Visa expands its operations in Azerbaijan and opens a new office in Baku.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Visa, that opening of the new branch highlights the strategic importance of the Azerbaijani market and Visa's desire to contribute to development of a cashless economy in the country.

"The opening of a new office is accompanied by expansion of the team. The Baku office has business development, consulting, product and marketing teams. With this step, Visa intends to strengthen its support for financial institutions, businesses and consumers throughout Azerbaijan.

The opening of the new office in Baku once again confirms Visa's strategic role as one of the most dynamic markets in the region with high demand for modern payment technologies in Azerbaijan," said Tarik Mahmoud, Visa's Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe - Middle East–Africa (CEMEA), at the opening ceremony.
