September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish companies are currently partnering in the implementation of four small hydropower plant (HPP) projects with a total capacity of 13 MW in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories — in Kalbajar and Lachin, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said at the 4th Azerbaijan–Türkiye Energy Forum in Izmir.

ABC.AZ quotes the minister as saying work is also underway to measure and assess the potential for a 240 MW wind power project in Kalbajar:

“Türkiye’s participation in the development of Karabakh and East Zangezur as a ‘green energy’ zone is a vivid example of our brotherhood and energy solidarity. Renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, green hydrogen, carbon capture technologies, energy efficiency, as well as Türkiye’s experience and support in energy market relations and regulation, are of particular importance to us. As always, and in all processes, we regard Türkiye as our greatest ally on the path to a clean energy future.”
