Russia to cut oil exports in September

10:44 - 4.09.2025

September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Russia plans to reduce crude oil exports from its western ports (Primorsk, Ust-Luga, Novorossiysk) to 1.9 million barrels per day, down from 2 million in August.

According to ABC.AZ, the decline is due to increased refinery throughput following the completion of maintenance works.

Exports of Urals, KEBCO, and Siberian Light grades are expected to fall by around 6%.

Idle refining capacity in September is projected to decrease to 5.5 million tons from a record 6.4 million tons in August. However, delays in repairs and drone attacks could affect these plans.
