Plans underway for green energy corridor in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan

September 2, Fineko/abc.az. Limited electricity production capacity is driving stronger regional cooperation in Azerbaijan and Central Asia, while also fostering the development of renewable energy potential, particularly wind energy in the north and solar energy in the south.

According to ABC.AZ, Moody’s reports that intergovernmental plans are currently being implemented in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan to establish a Caspian green energy corridor, which will facilitate cross-border electricity trade.

At the same time, many countries in the region are pursuing energy reforms aimed at creating competitive markets and attracting private investment.
