August 14, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR Turkiye CEO Elchin Ibadov and Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekshi signed a memorandum of understanding covering cooperation between both entities in the field of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

ABC.AZ reports, referring to SOCAR Turkiye, that this will expand the existing cooperation with Turkish Airlines in the field of jet fuel to the SAF sector, as well as create the basis for larger-scale projects aimed at achieving sustainable development goals in the region. 

"We are proud to implement our vision of sustainability, outlined at COP29, which Azerbaijan adopted last year, in specific projects in Turkey. Thanks to the high production capacity of STAR Refinery, advanced refining technologies, modern digitalization-oriented operations, and the efforts of Ar–Ge, we have a powerful and competitive infrastructure in SAF production," SOCAR Turkiye says.
