August 13, Fineko/abc.az. The growth of domestic consumption in the first half of this year had significant impact on aggregate demand, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.
In the first quarter of 2025, household final consumption expenditures made up 58.2% of nominal GDP (a rise of 2.7 percentage points versus Q1 of 2024), while government final consumption expenditures - 15% (a rise of 1.2 p.p. against Q1 of 2024).
Household final consumption expenditures grew by 8.26% in nominal terms, while government final consumption expenditures increased by 12.51%.
In the 1st half of 2025, the value of goods sold and services provided to the public increased by 5.1% against the 2024 same term, reaching 37.7 billion manats.
The total value of non-state property grew by 4.9% versus 1st half of 2024, reaching 36.2 billion manats.
Of the total volume generated in the consumer market, 78.5% accounted for retail trade turnover, 18.2% for paid services and 3.3% for catering turnover.
