August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jul 2025, the amount of VAT refunded to consumers by authorized banks for goods purchased from persons engaged in retail trade or catering activities in the country (with exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), medical services rendered by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical care exceeded 108.6 million manats.
Rate of active VAT-payers observes rise of 5.8%
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service (under the Ministry of Economy) that for the past 7 months of 2025, the amount of VAT (tax free) refunded from the State Budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens for personal consumption in the republic amounted to 5.874 million manats.
