August 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) brought 36 million euros in net profit to the Italian energy infrastructure operator, SNAM, in the first half of 2025.
ABC.AZ informs that for the same period of 2024, the company earned 33 million euros on TAP. Thus, TAP's share increased by 9.1% year-on-year.
According to the report, in the first 6 months of 2025, TAP's share of SNAM's total net income of 204 million euros from equity participation in associated companies made up 17.6%. In the 1rst half of 2024, TAP's share amounted to 157 million euros, 21% of the total amount.
TAP is one of the main elements of the Southern Gas Corridor and transports natural gas extracted at the Azerbaijan’s gas condensate field Shah Deniz in the Caspian Sea to European markets. The length of the gas pipeline is 878 km: it connects to TANAP in the Greek city of Kipoi, passes through the territory of Greece and Albania, crosses the Adriatic Sea and reaches its terminus in the southern part of Italy.
