July 11, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 6 months, 20.26 bcm of gas were transported through the main gas pipelines of Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, that the indicator is 1.4% less against Jan-Jun 2024.
Over the reported term, 55.5% of gas transportation was carried out throughSouth Caucasus pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum. 11.235 bcm of gas were pumped via this pipeline (1.6% lower year-on-year).
The South Caucasus pipeline delivers gas extracted at gas condensate field Shah Deniz located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. The South Caucasus pipeline was put into operation at the end of 2006, and transportation of gas produced as part of Phase 1 of Shah Deniz Project began. In the summer of 2018, the supply of gas produced as part of Phase 2 of Shah Deniz Project began via the expanded South Caucasus pipeline to Turkey - the TANAP pipeline.
