July 3, Fineko/abc.az. A pilot project on labeling and traceability of liquefied petroleum gas sold in household cylinders has been launched in Kazakhstan, ABC.AZ reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
So the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Energy want to fight the sale of defective or expired cylinders. Every year in Kazakhstan, there are more than 100 cylinder explosions due to malfunction. Currently, there are more than 800,000 domestic cylinders of liquefied gas in circulation.
Departments will test ways of applying labeling codes, integration with existing business processes and possible changes in the operational activities of turnover participants.
The project started on July 1, 2025 and will last until the end of the year.
