June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has formed an exemplary model of reliable energy security in an unstable world.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov as saying this in his speech at the Baku Energy Forum, that thanks to such strategic projects as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum and the Southern Gas Corridor, which connect the Caspian Sea with global energy markets, Azerbaijan today successfully exports its oil to 25 countries and natural gas to 12 countries.

"Last year, more than 75% of Azerbaijan's oil exports and 51% of natural gas exports went to European countries. Azerbaijan, which has taken a leading position in the world in terms of pipeline gas supplies in a short period of time, is the fourth supplier of gas transported through pipelines to the EU, with a share of 7%."
