May 30, Fineko/abc.az. When talking about the wealth of the population, they usually mean per capita income, standard of living, level of ownership, and intensity of economic activity.

ABC.AZ reports that cities and districts in Azerbaijan that differ in this regard can be distinguished as follows:

1. Baku

The oil & gas sector, a larger number of enterprises and services are also factors that have positive impact on the social situation of the population.

The richest districts of Baku are Nasimi, Narimanov, Yasamal and Khatayi districts.

2. Sumgayit

Since it is an industrial city, the salary in Sumgait is comparatively higher than the national average. New buildings and developing infrastructure raise the standard of living.

3. Khirdalan (Absheron district)

Khirdalan has strengthened economically due to its proximity to Baku and numerous new residential complexes. Real estate prices and commercial activity are rising.

4. Gabala

This city has tourism potential and influx of foreign investment. For this reason, income can be high among hotels, resorts, and those engaged in agriculture.

5. Naftalan

The sanatoriums in Naftalan, where many health and wellness centers are concentrated, strengthen the local economy.

6. Sheki, Guba, Gusar, Gabala, Ismailly

As tourism and agriculture develop in these regions, so do the incomes of the population. Especially in the spring and summer period, tourism revenues are significantly higher.
