May 29, Fineko/abc.az. Investors from Saudi Arabia are interested in Azerbaijan mainly in three spheres - energy, agriculture and tourism, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

"Projects implemented in the field of renewable energy sources, as well as agriculture and tourism, are considered attractive to investors from Saudi Arabia," the agency noted.

KOBIA stressed that at the second meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council in May 2023 in Shusha, the Saudi delegation was presented with investment opportunities in the liberated Azerbaijani territories. "This presentation played a significant role in shaping the interest of Saudi investors in projects that can be implemented in these territories. The fifth meeting of the Council with the participation of 70 entrepreneurs in one of the tourist sites created an opportunity to present Azerbaijan's tourism potential to a wide audience," the agency added.

Saudi Arabian companies are also interested in initiatives such as green energy and smart village.
