March 12, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2025, the volume of transactions via mobile banking in Azerbaijan totaled 55.9 million manats (over 50% more year-on-year).

ABC.AZ reports that CBA general director Fuad Isayev said about this at the 1st National Financial Accessibility Forum in Baku.

"Development of digital financial solutions plays an important role in increasing financial accessibility. Recently, we have seen expansion of mobile banking, as well as online payment systems and the spread of the fintech system. Especially in recent years, e-payment systems and mobile banking applications have been gaining popularity," Isayev said.

He added that financial inclusion has already become a strategic tool for economic growth, poverty reduction and strengthening social stability. According to WB’s approach, financial inclusion plays the role of a catalyst in the implementation of 7 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, the CBA representative added.
