March 3, Fineko/abc.az. The euro-dollar exchange rate increased on Monday afternoon after the publication of statistics on inflation and business activity in the eurozone industry, according to trading data.
ABC.AZ informs that as of 2:22 p.m., the euro-dollar exchange rate was rising to $1.0441 per euro from $1.0375 per euro at the previous close. The dollar-yen exchange rate declined to 150.48 yens from the previous closing level of 150.72 yens per dollar. The dollar index (the exchange rate against a basket of currencies of six US trading partner countries) fell by 0.54% to 107.03 points.
According to preliminary estimates, annual inflation in the eurozone slowed to 2.4% in February from 2.5% in January, with a forecast of 2.3%. Core annual inflation in the eurozone is expected to slow to 2.6% from 2.7% in January.
