March 3, Fineko/abc.az. Folloiwng the Central Bank’s survey on lending activity and sources of financing, it was announced that growth dynamics of consumer loans from banks will keep on next quarter.

ABC.AZ informs that the main cause for this growth is widespread digitalization.

According to the survey results for Q4 of 2024, 85% of banks reported no significant changes in the level of public borrowing, while 15% of banks say about certain growth.

As a result, the diffusion index, reflecting the level of borrowing, was 11%, which indicates that the number of borrowers continues to grow.

According to the Central Bank in January, the total volume of consumer loans in Azerbaijan is 8.55 billion manats. The volume of mortgage loans reached 4.25 billion manats. This means annual growth of 22% and 17%, respectively.
